About Holly

I’ve always been fascinated by the human voice. As a kid I would constantly make silly noises and put on different funny voices. It wasn’t until I was older after many years of watching cartoons, playing video games and listening to radio shows and podcasts that I realised . . . this was something people could do for a living! I went out and bought myself a microphone and I’ve never looked back.

This is my passion and I love every bit of it. I’ve helped hundreds of clients bring their scripts to life over the years and I still get just as excited at the prospect of a new project.

I work remotely from my own studio, making audio delivery fast and efficient. I can also edit your audio, so I can deliver files raw for your own edit or a complete finished product.

I have a professionally treated space with a Rhode NT1-A Mic and I edit wirh Adobe audition so all audio is produced to the highest standard.

Since leaving my job in marketing at the end of 2018 to pursue a career in voice-over and hosting/streaming, I’ve developed a host of new skills. My existing knowledge in marketing and experimenting with different platforms and media types has meant I’ve built a solid foundation for my own content creation.

I’ve found that I crave variety in my work and I’d love to keep developing in different aspects of the industry. I’m now looking for a new challenge to incorporate these skills where I can continue improving my knowledge and skill set.

Scriptwriting:

I write all the scripts for the videos I post to my Youtube channel. I love to add a sense of fun and humour into everything I do, whether for videos on animation and gaming lists or informational videos about life on Twitch and voice-over.

Video editing: 

Editing videos for Youtube and Twitch has given me the chance to learn much about the process and using Adobe Premier Pro. After airing a few different trailers, I’ve also been hired to create trailers for other Twitch channels, and I’d love to continue learning more about this. 

Streaming / hosting:  

My Twitch channel has been live for over two and a half years and has seen consistent and steady growth. It currently has over 1100 followers and averages around 50-60 regular subscribers with an incredibly engaged community. 

The Imaginary Holly Youtube channel has seen steady growth over the last few years and has allowed me to experiment with different content, marketing and SEO which has lead to some really successful videos on the channel. 

I also work with Insert Coin Clothing as part of their ‘Coin Army’ streaming initiative. This involves hosting regular streams on their Twitch channel and generally creating engagement and hype around their products through my community and on social media.

Community Management

My Discord server currently has 129 members and I have also moderated in several large Discord communities. The community in my Discord have a high engagement level, and the sense of ‘family’ has made it a wonderful place to be. This has been carefully fostered and moderated by myself and the team of trusted moderators.

I’m always open to listening to this community, and over the years, some members have provided unique ideas for the streams and my Youtube channel, which just adds to the sense of community we have.

Voice-over and audio editing:

I have also had a successful career as a voice actor for several years with my own home studio and a list of regular clients. I have voiced adverts which have appeared on TV as well as in cinemas and have also voiced characters for some indie games and short animations.
